Inspired by the robes and uniforms worn during the 2024 Woodenfish retreat at Woljeongsa Monastery, Korea.

Each piece is individually laser-engraved with the Zen Enso, a universal symbol of emptiness. 

This is the first release from Shama, our intentional clothing brand.

50% of proceeds go to the Woodenfish Foundation, which supports Buddhist practice and education worldwide.

Each hoodie is cut and assembled from a single piece of fabric, with the hood and collar formed from its remnants, minimizing waste. This is our working prototype, and final details may shift as we refine it for release. Thanks for growing with us.

Shama is Sanskrit for calm, balance, and attention.
It’s also the root of shamatha—a meditation on stillness.  That’s the idea: clothing that supports concentration and practice in daily life.

Fabric Details:

Our organic cotton is grown without the use of pesticides and artificial fertilizers, which is beneficial to the environment. The organic yarn used in the production of the knitwear also holds the GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) transaction certificate, ensuring reduced energy and water consumption during production. The OEKO-TEX®️ STANDARD 100 certification guarantees safety and the absence of harmful substances, making the knitwear ideal for children's clothing.

The fabric is extremely soft, strong, stretchy, breathable, and climate regulating... ie. it's the perfect fabric for meditation.
